    I finally removed all timer-based games from my phone. I should have done it a long time ago given that being on time to collect deliveries/productions gave me severe FOMO anxiety and I was compulsively checking my phone at all time, but now it’s done.

    @me My corner of the Fediverse is slow enough that if I check it too often, nothing will have changed, so I can space out checks enough to do something else and even forget about it for a while.

    @heluecht @wmd @rysiek "Your package will arrive on Friday" is one the most unactionable piece of information you can get about a package, and as such I don't believe we should organize the global time structure around it.

    Besides, I'm getting more precise delivery estimates from the USPS, like this: "March 14th between 9:45am and 1:45pm". Please note how the times aren't even visually contiguous inside the same day with the 12-hour notation, so there could be a date change in the middle of the day and it wouldn't change much to this particular estimate string.

    @heluecht @wmd @rysiek They currently exist for the sole reason of having Tea Time be 5 o’clock anywhere on the globe and as a result they add complexity to time and space management.

    In practice it wouldn’t matter whether you go to work at 10, 19 or 4 o’clock.
