The latter is important: users should know that they can trust Guix to not change overnight without prior warning, that scripts, manifests, OS configs, etc. won’t break unexpectedly.

But lots of folks looked down in his writing as it was comic fantasy.

But he was way better than Authors like Craig Shaw Gardiner (another Fantasy author who I like).

How can we conciliate malleability and some form of stability for user config and extensions?

I think #Emacs itself is the gold standard here: long deprecation periods and clear documentation. (Third-party Emacs packages are often not doing as good a job these days!)

If you asked me a week ago how table salt is iodized, I would have guessed you probably add sodium iodide, but it turns out various manufacturers of table salt add either or several of sodium iodide, potassium iodide, sodium iodate or potassium iodate!

This time it was someone on one social network seeing "Salt Lite" with 50% less sodium and being sarcastic about "pure sodium" having less sodium, someone on the other social network was sarcastic about that person thinking table salt is pure sodium, and then a whole comment thread of people getting hung up on details of how the two posters said it, weird misconceptions of how sodiim chloride works, of how table salt works, ...

The equinox is almost upon us, the outdoor temperature is slowly falling from unbearable to somewhat reasonable, and for me that means two weeks of some very particular balance of humidity that causes my eyes to go into self-assault. The same thing happens for two weeks in April, a bit after the other equinox.

I get a lot of eye gravel, my eyes treat that as foreign objects and make gunk to defend itself, then treat the gunk as foreign objects in an evil feedback loop.

Ironically enough, inserting actual foreign objects, contact lenses, protects the eye against itself and breaks the cycle.

@announcements I'm not personally affected, but I'm curious if you've found an alternative solution for this.

I know that several fedi servers were funded via the OCF, so I wonder if a new go-to fiscal host has emerged on OC, or what other solutions people have come up with.

@rauschen No worries, just thought you'd like to know in case it's not intentional.

My quick guess without knowing anything about your setup is that somehow two instances of the bot might be running? And the slight differences might just be the OCR not being deterministic.
