@FrontiersHumanNeuro this happens because juggling 3 or 4 languages is hard because concepts, idioms and words get in the way as the brain speaks the concept that comes easier to it (disregarding the language as it understands them all) but what's harder is to select the right speech that can also be understood by the audience especially if that language is not the most appropriate to renderer the concept. Basically our brain tends to spend the least amount of energy
@FrontiersHumanNeuro when two people who spend a lot of time together know 2+ languages and they share at least 1 of them and none of the shared language is their native language, they start building a new language. I see it with my wife after 11 years of marriage. We have now verbs like "to pregadeetz" which is taken from Russian and it means "I'm doing smtg that will be useful in the future". English, the way we know it, is dead
@yogthos of course it would. More than a possibility it seems to me a certainty. Putin was really serious in his message. As he was extremely clear on 2012 and 2014. But we (West) never listen because we think we have it bigger than anyone. Except we don't. And now this war has become a matter of (Russian) pride. Putin will never step back until alive.
It seems that this horrible #war can get only worse before it gets better ... eventually.
@clacke yeah it does hurt, in and out. You're Italian if you truly believe that by sharing the secret alchemy of your food you will make the world a better place.
@onepict I don't think it's news. It seems it has been like that since ever. Probably what has changed is the amount of people who are rich AND (logic &) who believe to be untouchable and (not logic) are proud of it. I shared an article about it earlier today, I think
@markusl "I see what alcohol does to developing brains"
no again. "sola dosis venenum facit" Poison is in quantity. Romans knew this. We, in 2022, forgot it?
Teach kids the meaning of abuse and why it's STUPID. Teach them what's addiction. Give them UNDERSTANDING not knowledge and they will manage on their own.
@markusl I didn't read that document yet but I've read plenty before. I have a passion for psychology and dependencies. Science is right but education does miracle. What I"m saying is that, sooner or later, they are getting exposed. How do they manage if they don't know how to handle it? Do you expect that they will refuse every single offer they will get in their life? I don't.
