Eugen 🎄 (gargron@mastodon.social)'s status on Monday, 03-Oct-2016 17:12:57 UTC Eugen 🎄 @andstatus @moonman @lambadalambda @derkatzenhund I completely agree with AndStatus here - the Twitter API is a legacy of the past and it is an extra emulation/complexity layer on top of everything. Check Mastodon's REST API - it's incredibly straightforward.

The reason why I won't be a parent is partly this. I am not suited well enough for this task. -
archaeme (archaeme@gs.archae.me)'s status on Monday, 03-Oct-2016 17:17:00 UTC archaeme @dtluna Same. Having kids takes time and effort away from your hobbies which I don't want to give up. -
無 (eris@shitposter.club)'s status on Monday, 03-Oct-2016 18:02:43 UTC 無 @archaeme @why @dtluna at least you acknowledge your own weakness. most young parents I see are full of themselves and can't acknowledge that they might be poorly suited to it.

archaeme (archaeme@gs.archae.me)'s status on Monday, 03-Oct-2016 17:23:59 UTC archaeme @why @dtluna I don't care for traditions. And I would probably be a terrible parent. -

Personally, I don't think everyone is suited to being a parent. But if I were to put an argument forwards for it, it would that you can create a little family, filled with love and memories to cherish. It would be that you can learn a lot from kids, and watch them grow up which is beautiful. You can do the things that you wouldn't otherwise, and you'll be around family as you grow old. You can pass on your skills to the next generation, and make a difference in your kids lives. But it's not for everyone. It's better to be informed about the choice, and weigh the pros and cons up. -
fl0wn (fl0wn@sealion.club)'s status on Monday, 03-Oct-2016 18:25:36 UTC fl0wn @sim being an uncle > being a parent. I get to enjoy all of that fun stuff and give them back to their parents when they start acting like brats :p @why @camus @archaeme @dtluna -

Verius (verius@community.highlandarrow.com)'s status on Monday, 03-Oct-2016 18:15:36 UTC Verius You can disagree with the stretch of this article, but this is true:
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about the 2016 electorate after dozens of polls, it’s this: The Republicans could have nominated a mile-high mound of flaming medical waste and between 38 and 43 percent of the American electorate would have voted for it over Hillary Rodham Clinton.
