   @andstatus @moonman @lambadalambda @derkatzenhund I completely agree with AndStatus here - the Twitter API is a legacy of the past and it is an extra emulation/complexity layer on top of everything. Check Mastodon's REST API - it's incredibly straightforward.

     @gargron @andstatus @moonman GS used to have its own #AtomPub #API that was supposed to be more featureful than the Twitter API. AFAIK, no clients ever used it. CC: @mmn
