Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman@nu.federati.net)'s status on Tuesday, 13-Mar-2018 21:13:08 UTC Douglas A. Whitfield New !webserver group aliased as !apache !nginx !httpd
Yeah, yeah, apache has "over" representation, but I was thinking about making an apache group until I decided to make it more general. If someone wants to split off nginx, I'll happily change the alias to #iis. I suppose if someone does want to make a separate apache group, I can make this even more general.

Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman@nu.federati.net)'s status on Tuesday, 13-Mar-2018 15:31:34 UTC Douglas A. Whitfield I created !minnesota, aliased as !mn, !gophers, and !twincities. I'm open to changing the aliases, but I can only do three, which means I can't do all the sports teams. There's already baseball, soccer, gridiron, hockey, and basketball groups (although, basketball may have been on vinolux...I'd have to check about that). I'm happy to create Vikings, etc. groups separately too, if people want that.

Biene (einebiene@quitter.is)'s status on Saturday, 03-Mar-2018 14:09:06 UTC Biene I decided to promote some groups for the newbies, now that the spring might or might not be coming ;-) !fedgroups
If you don't know what groups are all about or how they work, just ask!
The !grow group is for exchange about growing whatever, gardens, balconies, a pot of salad on your window sill.. so if you grow anything or like to hear and see about it, consider joining.
Since most of us have had enough with snow the !rain appreciation society might be worth considering. It's for people who like rain or who like to rain dance or like to get wet.
The !sewing group is for people who like to sew, also for embroidery and related stuff. So if you want to share ideas or projects or just get inspired, this is for you.
If you want to get people to know about your favorite groups, join in with the introductions in this thread. :-) -

Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman@nu.federati.net)'s status on Tuesday, 19-Dec-2017 22:23:42 UTC Douglas A. Whitfield Anybody have #mysql upgrade repo instructions for #CentOS6 that don't involve remi? remi had a bad PHP issue this summer, so now people are skittish. #RHEL6 has their #RHEL collections, but I need something specific to #CentOS 6. I know *I* could recompile or use the MySQL community repos, but those aren't going to work for everyone. The MySQL community instructions might work for this other person. I need to check.
Also, is there a mysql !fediverse !fedgroups ? -

Biene (einebiene@quitter.is)'s status on Monday, 31-Jul-2017 10:17:14 UTC Biene Would anyone be interested in helping to create a list/overview of groups like we used to have? And does anyone have a wiki or a location where we can put it? Groups a a really great feature of !gnusocial and I think it's helpful for newbies and methusalem fediversians both. !fedgroups !fediverse -
Former Bob Jonkman -- Please use the new server at https://gs.jonkman.ca (bobjonkmanformer@sn.jonkman.ca)'s status on Monday, 31-Jul-2017 07:34:24 UTC Former Bob Jonkman -- Please use the new server at https://gs.jonkman.ca I understand that my suggestion for distributed management of !Fedgroups is something that is not supported at all with the current !GNUsocial architecture. Implementing something like that would be a major undertaking. I wonder if cooperative, distributed group administration and membership maintenance could be implemented with a plugin...
