I see one at https://quitter.se/group/fediverse -

It would make groups more resilient when particular server disappears; the remaining servers would just redistribute the load to host the group. If you see a !GNUsocial developer you can pass on this great suggestion :-) -
MMN-o ✅⃠ (mmn@social.umeahackerspace.se)'s status on Monday, 31-Jul-2017 06:07:09 UTC MMN-o ✅⃠ @bobjonkman Since groups work like any other feed in that aspect it's not going to happen ;) At least I don't see how it could be done in a feasible manner in an overseeable future.
But I asked earlier for a new home for the !fediverse group and at least @sen seemed interested in hosting it. I think that sounds like a good idea! -
MMN-o ✅⃠ (mmn@social.umeahackerspace.se)'s status on Monday, 31-Jul-2017 06:10:09 UTC MMN-o ✅⃠ @bobjonkman However, it should be noted that if someone on your instance subscribes to a group and someone you don't subscribe to yourself writes to it - it'll still end up in your inbox (because it is addressed to a feed you're interested in). -
Former Bob Jonkman -- Please use the new server at https://gs.jonkman.ca (bobjonkmanformer@sn.jonkman.ca)'s status on Monday, 31-Jul-2017 07:34:24 UTC Former Bob Jonkman -- Please use the new server at https://gs.jonkman.ca I understand that my suggestion for distributed management of !Fedgroups is something that is not supported at all with the current !GNUsocial architecture. Implementing something like that would be a major undertaking. I wonder if cooperative, distributed group administration and membership maintenance could be implemented with a plugin...
