Former Bob Jonkman -- Please use the new server at https://gs.jonkman.ca (bobjonkmanformer@sn.jonkman.ca)'s status on Wednesday, 15-Jul-2015 15:25:32 UTC Former Bob Jonkman -- Please use the new server at https://gs.jonkman.ca There was talk some months ago of federating the group hosting. Multiple !GNUsocial instances all share the message storage and distribution of !Fedgroups, and if one host fails it's detected by the other hosts who take over for it. -

I think every !SysAdmin has those worries. -

Then I'll have multiple copies of those corrupt DBs. :/ -
@mcscx@quitter.se (mcscx@quitter.se)'s status on Wednesday, 15-Jul-2015 20:18:32 UTC @mcscx@quitter.se @bobjonkman what size is one db backup, approximately? -

The entire MySQL !database backup file is 444 MBytes bzipped, which contains two !SN DBs, 7 WordPress DBs, a MediaWiki DB, 1 !ownCloud DB, and an underused Drupal DB. -

Or maybe I have little concept of how big a MegaByte actually is... -

Once the NAS is online I'll probably do something fancy with snapshots. -
