The time to not switch away from FF was ten years ago. People switching today don’t even matter. They are an insignificant number.

Google Chrome is the web, and Web Devs haven’t cared about FF for a long time.

@sam @aadil It doesn’t look like FF is going to be safer in the future, which is the problem.

I don’t use Chrome, and I’m not going to use anything Chrome based. I’ve been very loyal to FF since the Phoenix days, so I’ve been doing my part.

Now is the time to find alternatives which do respect people’s privacy, and get them into shape while FF is still a decent option.

By the way, in your scenario the people are probably all using Chrome even if people tell them not to. People don’t take OpSec seriously.

Versus today, capitalists or technologists are making decisions and prioritizing money or complexity.

Moxie is selling Signal tech to SV companies who want centralization and user monetization. Signal could do what Threema has done for hosted servers, but noooo, that would give customers control and be useful.

I wonder if Mozilla would be willing to buy Signal and implement something like that. 🤔
