I've not seen the TV series, but, if they are using Shakespeare's original text, then most native English speakers will also find the dialogue difficult to follow.

Probably Patrick Stewart. No doubt he was trading on his fame as the Jean-Luc Picard character, however, he was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company long before his StarTrek career. 😃

Another day, another funeral.

When you live in a small community everyone knows everyone else. One knows a lot of people. Consequently, attending funerals is a regular obligation.

This time it was a Church of Scotland service (Protestant). For the first time, in my experience, the service was streamed live, and there was a big screen relaying the proceedings to the back of the church.

I was hoping for some slow-mo shots and action replays, but, not to be.

It is an outdoor ice rink with three sheets, for public use. There is a spicket which is used to flood the area with water. Obviously, a cold (freezing) day is required to form the required ice. On the day the photo was taken it was too mild.

Each strip is about 5m wide, and 45 metres long. The strips are bordered with rectangular stones, and are lined with tarmac.
