To be fair, it was only ever one American, John McClane (Bruce Willis).
Also, I have no idea what the first bit means.

Coming from an even smaller country, I'd just like to point out that her maternal grandfather was Scottish, which is where the Ferguson name comes from. π
@gemlog
Good gig, if you can secure one.
We ended the day in the bar.
Unfortunately, it was boaring. π
My photo, in the previous post, doesn't do justice to the scale of the cask storage at this facility. There was, maybe, 50+ of these pyramids.
This wasn't on the Ordnance Survey map. π±
Sadly, these were all empty casks.
@pandora
I'm not sure if these were already used, or about to be used. There wasn't anyone around I could ask.
One sometimes gets them in garden centres, cut in half, as use as plant pots. They're never cheap.
@thelovebug
Ten minutes is usually how long it takes me to read the prΓ©cis on Wikipedia. That's usually enough for me to talk authoritatively about the book. π
@thelovebug
Yeah, but, are talking The Little Prince or War & Peace? π
@yngmar @Jkp
It's normally only BMW drivers that are allowed to park like that.
It's that time of year again when I receive loads of birthday greetings.
Not that it is my birthday. Whenever websites ask me for my birthdate I always provide the Unix Epoch Date, not my real one.
@helenlockhart
It doesn't bother me, that much, as long as that is the limit of the physical contact. If anything else happened I might say or do something.
I've also noticed that the contact often happens when others are watching. It's as if there is a "possession" thing being demonstrated.
Of course, I might be blowing the whole thing out of proportion.
A new employee started 10 days a go. I've noticed she is very touchie-feelie. She is always putting her hand on my shoulder, and around my waist. It happens a good deal more than one might expect of someone just being friendly.
I'm not going to say anything, nor will I react. I'll see if it just stops after a while.
@dajbelshaw
I'll only wear red, white and blue on Bastille Day.
@clacke
I cut open the plastic tubes, and scrape the remnants using the toothbrush (over several days).
@clacke
Indeed, but, 2-3 months? Hyperbole?
@clacke
What are your teeth like? π
@kevie
Is it going to be anything like Windows 95?
@kevie @mcnalu @thelovebug
I'm halfway through the podcast, and I'm enjoying it, as always.
