@extropic You wish number 3 is granted :-) What is left to be done by You: 1. Create accounts on the servers, from which you want to "pull timelines” and subscribe to that timelines. 2. Or you can remotely subscribe to any remote User's feeds via GNU Social web interface, and then have all these ”User timelines” arrived to one your account. In practice, I combine both of these approaches. Please see attached my list of Home timelines for several accounts. On that screenshot you can see when and how many messages were downloaded via each account. Approach no.1 allows you, using ”Search” timeline, pull something interesting from the Public timeline of each GNU Social server also (and sync this Search timeline automatically!) I hope that GNU Social developers will fix a problem in the Server side code, which causes unnecessary traffic of such Search Timelines (I reported that issue two months ago already https://git.gnu.io/gnu/gnu-social/issues/206 @mmn ) https://loadaverage.org/attachment/3220490
@archaeme No, we don't have such a request in the list yet: https://github.com/andstatus/andstatus/issues But we do have in Settings "Hide messages based on keywords or exact phrases", which could allow you to filter out such messages completely. As I understand, you still want to see a message, containing the filtered hash tag, but don't want its attachment to be shown?! Do you want it nevertheless to be downloaded and available via ”View image” context menu item?
Why do you need this? Please tell me your reasons in order for me to implement this feature properly.
@coloco GNU Social doesn't have an API to get a list of ”favorites of me”. But there is a workaround for this: even now in AndStatus you can create an automatically syncable Search timeline with ”myusername” as a search word. Thus you will be aware of any mentioning of you, including well known ”someuser favorited something by myusername...” messages. E.g. I have syncable "Search 'andstatus' combined" timeline (i.e. automatic search in several GNU Social instances) and I even made that combined timeline the Default one. This is why I always have up-to-date list of any AndStatus-related messages. In all Social networks, including Twitter, which support Search feature. See attached screenshot of my "Manage Timelines” table. https://loadaverage.org/attachment/3201676
@sim Thanks for the overview. Regarding oversized notices: you can drop this note as quitter.se fixed this recently and even at quitter.se notices are shown fully.
@andstatus reinstalled and it worked but only my own posts appeared, then after changing to Misconfigured SSL all seemed to work again. Thanks for your advice.
@mcnalu Do you mean updated to v.28.01? In order to see ALL posts that were ever downloaded, switch to "Everything combined” timeline. You may also tap "Go to the top" menu item in a Drawer... @thelovebug
AndStatus v.28.01 released. "Collapse duplicated posts. Accounts reodering. Continuous automatic application quality checking" 1. Implemented ”Collapse duplicates” feature, which is switchable in the Navigation Drawer of a Timeline. This allows to see several crossposted messages as one entry in a Timeline. When duplicated posts are collapsed (by default), visible "main" post shows number of hidden duplicated posts as e.g. ”(+3)". When ”Collapse duplicates” checkbox is checked, a User can "Show/Hide duplicates" of any individual message via its context menu. This may be needed e.g. to follow a discussion in a Social Network whose (duplicated) message was hidden ("collapsed"). #337 2. Accounts reodering implemented. Reorder accounts using drag-and-drop in a new "Manage Accounts" view. The topmost account becomes the "Default account". This sorting order of accounts is used everywhere in the application, including showing in the "Select account" dialog and making a decision, what message to show among several collapsed duplicates... 3. In order to ease navigation in a Timeline, "Top", "1", "2", "3" and positions of three first shown messages are displayed in the top right corner of a message. This frees a User from unnecessary attempts to scroll a list. "1" means that this message is the topmost currently shown, but there may be more messages in the local cache (i.e. already downloaded to your Device). "Top" shown instead of "1" means that there are no newer messages downloaded, and an attempt to "pull to refresh" will result in "sync with Internet". 4. If not set explicitly in the "Manage Timelines" view, Home Timeline of the Default Account is now the Default Timeline - it opens on the Application launch. This is natural for new users and simplifies initial configuration. 5. Continuous quality checking of AndStatus started, with actual and historical results and diagrams publicly available. AndStatus is being built automatically by Travis CI and its quality is being analysed by SonarQube. Both services are free for Open Source projects. #408 http://andstatus.org/changelog.html
@lnxw48 @ericxdu23 After de-authorizing AndStatus from your Twitter account it's enough to goto this account in AndStatus and press "Reverify credentials" button.
@ericxdu23 Please do this. Exact information is needed on these rejected messages in order to be able to reproduce them on a test Twitter account. E.g.exact text. Reply to what tweet, exactly (with URL of the tweet)
