@megver83 Currently you should follow a "group" via web interface of the GNU Social instance, to which the group belongs.
AndStatus has custom syncable Search timelines, so in order to have a separate timeline for a GNU Social group, you can create e.g. a Search ”!gnusocial" timeline and make it syncable. The same for hash tags.

How to implement Groups/Lists properly in AndStatus?
Today I reread our old discussion at https://github.com/andstatus/andstatus/issues/248 , which contains, in particular, comparison of this thing's concepts in different social networks and added Pump.io to the comparison.
So now this post compares GNU Social, Twitter and Pump.io: https://github.com/andstatus/andstatus/issues/248#issuecomment-219826572
Any advises, additions or corrections?

@mariotaku Nice to see, users really like personalisation of their applications. We need to add an avatar and a "cover image" to a User profile in AndStatus somewhere...
BTW, does Twidere support a notion of a "Group" (User group...) in general and for GNU Social in particular? See/take part in a discussion on this: https://github.com/andstatus/andstatus/issues/248
