sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Saturday, 24-Jan-2015 07:48:09 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @shevek When I wrote Yaics I hadn't written Pumpa yet. For pump.io OAuth was the only choice so I was forced to do it :-) The library that Pumpa use for OAuth is no longer maintained, so I would recommend Yaics to use another one. (E.g. libqoauth). cc @stigatle -

sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Friday, 23-Jan-2015 21:23:44 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @kevie Cheers! I think we are in different time zones, it's beer o'clock over here :-) -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Friday, 23-Jan-2015 21:18:36 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @shevek @stigatle Could be, not sure. But OAuth is more complex to implement in the client side. Not saying we shouldn't, but just saying it isn't trivial to do :-) -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Thursday, 22-Jan-2015 20:12:51 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle I already have one package in Debian, so I think I should be able to make package with sufficient quality. We just need to get some DD on board. But first we need an official release :-) -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Thursday, 22-Jan-2015 20:11:15 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @shevek Since that was easier to implement :-) /cc @stigatle -

sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Thursday, 22-Jan-2015 19:13:00 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle Once you make a release we could try to get it officially into Debian. We just need to find a Debian Developer to bless it :-) -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Thursday, 22-Jan-2015 19:11:27 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle I'm not entirely sure how to do that in Debian packaging, though... -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Thursday, 22-Jan-2015 19:10:34 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle I just pushed the code for building Debian packages. Just "cd package; ./mkdeb.sh" - should work on Debian with the right dependencies installed. Here's a deb I build on jessie: http://sjoberg.fi/software/yaics_0.4-1_amd64.deb -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Thursday, 22-Jan-2015 19:03:30 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle I just built a Debian package against Qt4, but perhaps I should use Qt5 instead? At least current Debian stable doesn't have Qt5... -

sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Thursday, 22-Jan-2015 09:14:01 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle OK, my personal site is also available if needed. But perhaps yours is better since you are the maintainer :-) -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Wednesday, 21-Jan-2015 14:07:12 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle @mmn Yeah, I'd vote for not putting binaries into the source repo. Separate repo is OK, though. If Yaics gets really popular we could think about a real web site :-) -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Wednesday, 21-Jan-2015 13:54:15 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle I won't have time today - have a late thing at work today - but I'll definitely try to do it this week given the high demand :-) -
sazius on Mayfirst (saziusmayfirst@social.mayfirst.org)'s status on Wednesday, 21-Jan-2015 07:35:23 UTC sazius on Mayfirst @stigatle I have some scripts, but they are hardcoded for Pumpa. I'll take a look at adapting it for Yaics.
