    @gameragodzilla Its a free to play MUD (text thing) thats been around forever and I still play because its something I can play even when Im completely exhausted (like now) as I do so pretty much on autopilot.

    It's free to play but has premium currency and you can buy stuff with it.  You can buy special races and stuff.  Or in the case of Anette my character there's stuff, she has pretty much her own area by way of player housing now that I paid for.

    @gameragodzilla Vogel's outright said before, if piracy is the only way you can play his Avernum games, he'd rather you pirated them than never get to experience them.

    This makes him rather uh, popular, in certain circles as you can imagine.

    But yeah, he's a guy who cares about the gaming at the end of the day, not the business aspect.

    Wing Commander was basically the exception to the rule of shitty FMV games, and featured acting and talents from BIG industry names like Mark fucking Hammil, Clive Owen, David Warner, Brian Blessed, Christopher Walken, John Hurt, you name it.  And they always had their A game.  You can watch the cinematics from this game and get a better sci fi movie experience than any recent sci fi movie I can think of.
