noa (noa@merveilles.town)'s status on Friday, 22-Apr-2022 06:13:02 UTC noa @clacke i didn't take it as such! actually, html 5 existed when i did this, and i had gone through the one book on html5 at the library but it was very surface level so i "progressed" to the spec. which is actually not bad :)

noa (noa@merveilles.town)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Apr-2022 13:02:34 UTC noa @neauoire @opfez i like this, and i agree. and i find it upsetting when people use "lmgtfy" or say "google it" or whatever if i ask them something they could easily answer because i dont want to go through a search engine when i have the wonderful resource right here!
i used to be like that, now i love to share with people who want my help

noa (noa@merveilles.town)'s status on Thursday, 07-Apr-2022 16:36:33 UTC noa @milofultz if that's the case, i have a bone to pick with god for ending genesis 1 what, three verses early?
@Sandra you might know, are there any documents where langton or whoever justify their chapter positions?

noa (noa@merveilles.town)'s status on Thursday, 07-Apr-2022 13:43:01 UTC noa @Sandra thanks for this <3 i don't know your religious leanings but it's so nice to find someone so enthusiastic about the bible from a literary perspective (we seem sparse at least where i am). anthology seems apt, and it's half there in the name i guess.
to clarify, the "cancel paul" thing is only half serious, half a semi in joke with my dad. i definitely need to study more sources to get a better sense of what's what.

noa (noa@merveilles.town)'s status on Thursday, 07-Apr-2022 13:43:01 UTC noa i find it really hard to choose a favourite fiction book, even though i love fiction.
walden influenced me a lot. and i'm not sure what category the bible goes in, but i'm a big fan too

big jealous of the alv! i can't justify the cost at the moment but i can dream haha. it's kind of similar to my goals in a few ways, but because i'm doing this for fun i'm not adapting, im being more inspired by i guess?. i'm not a fan of its font though.and i love your sketch! fifteen years is scary long ago for me :0

noa (noa@merveilles.town)'s status on Thursday, 07-Apr-2022 13:42:59 UTC noa @milofultz @Sandra i think "bible with stuff taken out" is quite a reductive way of considering it? i agree it costs a lot overall, but it's a different kind of bible.
(i especially endorse the lack of red lettering, i cannot read from red letter bibles)

noa (noa@merveilles.town)'s status on Thursday, 07-Apr-2022 13:42:57 UTC noa @milofultz @Sandra i think it is a combination of the materials and the small number ? it is a niche product which would serve to drive the price up.
if you're interested in something similar for a fair bit cheaper, biblica has "the books of the bible". and it uses the niv, which i generally prefer to the asv. it's just paperback though

noa (noa@merveilles.town)'s status on Thursday, 07-Apr-2022 13:42:56 UTC noa @Sandra @milofultz msg is very fun, but i feel it goes a bit over the top sometimes. like, the being colloquial is more important than sounding colloquial if that makes sense? fluidity is sometimes missing. but it's good fun.
i don't know what zen dating is but that sounds a bit off. i've tried reading some of tcv to consult, but my chinese is not good enough.
i recently have enjoyed the passion, which is nt only but quite pleasant to read. im not keen on kjv echos tbh though its sometimes fun
