@AmpBenzScientist the issue with me in a 9-to-5 position is that the bailiff (Namsmann) will seize any income beyond the minimum to survive. it will not help me pay the rent.

however, if i can send an invoice for my work, then my AS (limited company) could pay the rent.

@AmpBenzScientist the Norwegian government is hostile to that. there have been a lot of cases where this arrangement has been exploited. people have been made to create a sole proprietorship in order to survive, so if the government sees a sole proprietorship that was only created so someone could survive, they strike down on it. if some company hires a sole proprietorship and it looks too much like employment, it's considered to be exploitation.

i disagree with the Norwegian government on this point.

@AmpBenzScientist i specifically said "not take itself too seriously" because i just want to play instruments with a gang. i can play jam sessions if i want to, i've done that a couple of times and was asked to come back, but there's usually an audience present so you're not really allowed to mess up too badly.

@AmpBenzScientist probably leaning more toward jazzfunk than freeform jazz, but i've never been very strict about genre. do you know Mezzoforte?
