@Phil the main reason is that you can't grow tomatoes (outdoors) in northern Europe. potatoes, on the other hand, like cool climates.

@alternative_be you're in Belgium though. complete melting pot of different traditions. just about anywhere else, there are clear preferences. same goes for wine vs beer. there's a map for that too.

i remembered that i've been wanting to buy my bread from a bakery instead of a grocery store.

@kcarruthers i remember this very autistic guy in the Pirate Party of Norway who was outright machiavellian in his schemes but not really the leader type. personality like the humpbacked assistant of a movie villain but also, he had political ideas, and had no concept of how actual humans function or want to live, so his ideas were always accidentally horribly dystopian...

@kcarruthers when it gets to the point that it's just a long series of obvious steps that you have to take to complete the task, what is even the point? you're not gonna learn anything new... this is why i can't keep my apartment clean. it accomplishes absolutely nothing and is just gonna get dirty again anyway...

i think it's very big ask to get me to do anything that isn't a theory that i can test with an experiment.

the simplest theory being that i can pull something off. and when i've done enough to prove to myself that i know the steps to complete it, that's when i stop and move on to something else.

in my dreams, some other person exists, with an identical skill set to mine, except he loves to finish things, and i just hand everything to him when it's almost ready...

there's an increasing chance that i'll get evicted from my apartment due to rent control issues. it would be my first ever eviction, in that case.

i can pay a fraction of what i owe, at the cost of life quality, and maybe i'll still get evicted, because it didn't pay the whole rent.

on top of this is a mountain of debt.

i feel i didn't do anything particularly wild to end up here. i was just being human. did what i could, while trying to have a decent life.

it feels unfair, no matter what anyone says.

@AmpBenzScientist sure, seeing as i'm unemployed, if i could pay off rent that way, i'd do that, but i doubt they'd be willing...
