    The Sportazine.com #WordPress install is having at least two issues. First, the "Add Media" button does not work. Second, the "Text" tab does not work. I am able to post and able to delete posts. I suppose I could just post without an image, but then it will look funky.

    I've finished my analysis (well, mostly at least, enough to start with) so #tomorrow I'll start writing an interesting #plugin for #WordPress. I've done small and simple ones, but this is much more involved, replacing an admin area with a different (and more flexible) implementation of the same idea. Need a good night's sleep first, I haven't completely overcome the no-sleep night last Friday...

    Far too many people speak way too fast on a tutorial video; this is what happens when you speak too fast on your video: the video on this page has closed captions that are variously unintelligeable or hilariously wrong (physicians and hustlers??) - see the video on this page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pods/ (for an otherwise quite interesting #wordPress #plugin)

    I found an interesting flaw (*not* bug) in #WordPress: it assumes that if your blog's base URL is different from the WP installation URL, you blog with be *relative* to the WP install. While that will most often be the case, there's no reason why it must be so; I have the blog sitting "next to" the WP install and I cannot think of a reason why this _could_ not work. So, I must ponder this, and how it's handling it, to find a workaround. Best way to "ponder" is sleep! I'll stop for today, read a bit, sudoku a bit, and fall asleep. Then #tomorrow I'll see if I can whip up some workaround code. :) #programming

    I just cleverly painted myself into a corner when trying to set permissions for some files #WordPress wants (preferably) write access for - and managed to get the system into a state where I no longer hadaccess (from the browser) to ANY file or directory for WordPress. Turns out .htaccess needs to be world-readable. Duh. Yes, of course. *sigh* #programming #htaccess

    Trying to get my head around Git basics so I can bring my various #wordpress themes and plugins on Hal under version control (and later stuff on Hedy as well). Set up two directories on a work drive to hold all local copies (clones) of projects for each machine, and installed Git on Hal, too. Reading docs. Getting a headache. Need a break - and discover I'm out of !beer, so I'll go out to get some sunshine, and new beer :) #firsttimegit #gettingthere

    very busy preparing my notes (adding dates and such where missing) so I can start "importing" them in my #wordpress on Hal (the #nas). I'd also like to import my various rumblings about setting up WordPress here into posts, so I looked up some candidates. This should at least be possible, but I discovered the #atom feed is far from valid (using the W3C validator) so it's doubtful that could be imported. At least the RSS feed *is* valid.
