    big (but late) lunch: whole-wheat penne, basil pasta sauce with Turkish biber, on top of (raw) green cabbage with freshly-ground white pepper, and sprinkled with powdered Italian cheese !noodles (I'll probably fall asleep after eating this :D)

    @perloid I learned to love instant !noodles in China, as "train food" - sometimes they sell bowls (it comes in cardboard bowls there) on the train, but to be sure of a meal it's best to buy beforehand. First time I bought in ÜrÚmchi at a sort of street stall - I just had to go by the pictures on the packages and pointed out two. Then I asked (mimed) for chopsticks and the friendly lady somehow mimed there would be a fork inside the package: sure enough, there was. I loved it, and from then on started looking for more varieties, and in China always buy noodles to eat on the train. :D

    @perloid I'm generally not fond of Korean !noodles but I have a few packs I wanted to try out. I just finished re-arranging my noodles, soups and fish drawers -plastic sets, the drawers are deep- and they are all chock full now! But created more space elsewhere and things are better organized. And I won't have to buy more soup or fish for a year or so :D

    Had a nice concoction of left over pasta tricolore and pasta with red pepper in it; boiled in stock, topped with green pesto, Uzbek mixed herbs & spices, and powdered cheese. #mmm !noodles. Now for a little afternoon nap :)
