Temporary Marjolein (mk@oracle.skilledtests.com)'s status on Friday, 21-Aug-2015 19:51:49 UTC Temporary Marjolein @mcnalu we do need inorganic substances, like (rare) metals and minerals. In some places some of those a rare in people's diet, and people may get deficiencies. And just like we may swallow pills to combat such deficiencies, in other places on earth people have found certain soils (local or non-local) may provide what they need - and they actually eat soil (which may be "imported" from elsewhere). I've been on a small local market in Tanzania where several vendors sold a variety of soils (from bags) that were for eating. -
