@mmn I once had a look at the Realtime (meteor) plugin and it looked like it keeps an established connection open,so not polling there. @bob

@bob I don't think it works quite that way with the power consumption. ;)
1. !qvitter uses polling (not long-polling)
2. web browsers tend to require a lot of computing power, compared to desktop/native apps

@bob !Mustard seems to have low battery consumption for just the notifications.Doesn't seem to affect battery live even on my old Galaxy Ace

@mcscx Yeah, but that explicitly requires installation of meteor. And also !qvitter doesn't use it.
