    @lanodan I have that plugin on my peertube instance. It setups prosody for you, yes

    but as far as I know, it ignores s2s so no joining through xmpp. :(

    @drq @lanodan yes, peertube needs it's own irc-like server and client but thanks plugins exist, so at least they have time to implement something better

    @lanodan @drq well, then plugin actually can manage existing prosody server. I just don't have XMPP on EMR server. :)

    Also, peertube was very easy to install. Much easier than weblate shit that got broken on every update because it's devs would rather force you to pay them to manage their software than let you self-host.

    @lanodan @drq oh, I had the same thoughts after I used Gentoo because it was fun and easy.

    But then I tried packaging for Debian and Arch Linux, and now I package software for Yocto which was "inspired by Gentoo".

    And you know what? Package managers were a mistake.

    After upgrading yocto, I've learned that they made their own shitty fakeroot called pseudo. (using fakeroot is also a bullshit to begin with)

    Which wants to track inodes, shits itself and calls abort() breaking the build in random places!
