@clacke Right. Iron Man really turned Marvel's fortunes around. Up until Iron Man, Marvel had been selling off film rights to their popular IPs. But they ran out of stuff popular enough for the studios to be interested in buying.
The wild success of Iron Man is what made Marvel Studios look attractive to Disney.

@clacke There are much closer sun-sync orbits which can keep a satellite lit by the Sun all the time.
What JWST's L2 position provides is a nice wide field of view where both the Sun AND the Earth is blocked by the sun shield. The thermal glow of the Earth isn't a problem for Hubble, but it would be for the far more temperature sensitive JWST.

@clacke I know a sample of one is not statistically useful, but I was a Cornell undergrad and I DEFINITELY overestimated my intellect.
