@fitheach we have inches on those things in Sweden too, ca 130 years after the introduction of the metric system, so don't hold your breath.

@clacke maybe you can do it that way and start removing conflicting packages once you get past 18.04. Though you'll probably still need to switch desktop if you were using the default (Gnome) Ubuntu desktop.
