@ashfurrow I liked the more grounded production as much as anything, and I am probably influenced by the fact I love Dalton in so many other things. I thought about Hot Fuzz a LOT while watching his two Bond movies.

Still I'd really like to see an alternate universe version of Goldeneye with him in it.

I think Licence to Kill is my favourite in the watch-through so far. A bit too long (but they all are really), dragged a bit in the middle, but the truck chase at the end was like an 80s Fast and Furious movie.

Shame that's all of Dalton. I liked him in the role.

We currently have a comedy surplus of 7 minutes - unless nobody laughs at a bit and we need to borrow some funny from our future, hoping that there's some hilarious interest-based growth in the moment and we don't end up with a humour deficit by the close of the show and have to laboriously draw out some dull financial analogy in an act of pure desperation to get a laugh.

Just made a spreadsheet so I could enter all the segments of my show with their estimated runtime and try to get a realistic estimate of where the show might run short or long, and see which bits can be extended or cut short as needed.

Living the comedy dream over here.

I've spent my sick day on the couch resuming my "watch all the Bond movies" project. Finally left the Roger Moore era, geez that was a slog.

We're at the point where I actually remember these films coming out now, and seeing posters and displays at my local cinema.

Pretty sure Licence to Kill was the first one I went to see when it came out.

@adz I dunno what I was expecting when I watched that one but Lazenby made no impression on me at all. I guess I'd heard a lot about how good he was and maybe I was expecting him to transcend the source material somehow, which is still pretty deeply flawed, especially in the productions of that era.

Felt incredibly unwell when I got home last night. Still do. Smashed a quick RAT and that was negative, so I guess this is just a reminder that it's still possible to get sick for entirely mundane reasons. Hooray!

I don't have any of the original graphic assets or data from my old #BBS from 1992. The closest thing I have is this mug, a gift from some of my users, with a hand-painted copy of the dodgy ANSI art.

One of these text files was distributed as a "shareware edition" where I took out all the vowels. If you registered it, I would send you the "registration key" that was a file with just the vowels in it.

It's a very strange feeling to discover that some awful Robert Heinlein fan fiction you wrote over 25 years ago has somehow managed to continue existing into the present day and it's right there on your screen.

I really should copy these files to my 486 and read them in DOS.

I still have a copy of Qedit, even.
