I’ve done all the Turkey variations I can find. Also, no dim sum restaurants in Spokane. So this Thanksgiving I’m cooking #DimSumGiving

So I have my account on my own server, but it’s also duplicated on another server, when I mess up apache or mariadb, the other users and I just sign in to our clones and keep going until it’s sorted.

Although in today’s environment you would be crazy to get an ARM

Charles Roth MPC (encycl@vox.a2c3.co)'s status on Friday, 07-Nov-2014 05:34:46 UTC Charles Roth MPC @zoowar actually, moderate inflation only hurts those with parked money as it devalues it. Moderate inflation raises workers pay while eroding their debt. “Secrets of the Temple” is the best in depth analysis of inflation vs middle/lower class. But you can be sure it wouldn’t get to that. A credible threat of 5% inflation from a central bank would have money flowing into the productive economy, to avoid it literally eroding away in the Caymans et al.

Charles Roth MPC (encycl@vox.a2c3.co)'s status on Friday, 07-Nov-2014 04:52:57 UTC Charles Roth MPC My favorite Le Carre Novels:
One of the joys of reading John Le Carre in general, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy in particular, is that his writing isn’t just great thriller writing, it’s great literature. That said, he has produced some work that seems ‘phoned in.’
Here is my guide to the best of his work — it’s still relevant, it’s well written, the characters fit you like an old suit.
In approximately descending order of greatness:
- Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Smiley v Karla I
- The Honourable Schoolboy Smiley v Karla II
- A Perfect Spy
- A Small Town in Germany
- Call for the Dead First appearance of Smiley (and Mendel)
- The Secret Pilgrim (Warning: contains spoilers for The Russia House and Tinker Tailor)
- Our Kind of Traitor
- A Delicate Truth — his most recent work and a scathing rebuttal to the overreach of the current spy agencies
- Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Smiley v Karla I
