At least to me, handling several pseudonym identities would be pretty exhausting. On the other hand, knowing that your every word can be read by everyone in the world is a bit scary. It's like the idea of Panopticon, and how we start policing ourselves and be less daring and creative if we feel constantly watched and judged.
On the other hand a semi-private space might just be a dangerous illusion in today's world, something we expect from our experience of the offline world, which doesn't really exist online. So we make assumptions which doesn't really hold anymore.-
