@maiyannah It's interesting that Gradle used to be mentioned before as a better alternative to Apache Maven. But recently I've heard that as Cradle becomes more mature, it tends to be more like Maven: mostly declarative, code is located in plugins only... @takeshitakenji@loadaverage.org
@camoceltic @maiyannah This is a server-side error. We encountered it a year or two ago. See my old post:
@mk Now I remember similar case! The problem was with wrong libraries at a server side, which didn't allow proper parsing of a correctly formatted multi-part messages: @andstatus [Solved] I found a solution: It seems that #Andstatus demands a PHP server which is running PHP with Apache module. My instance ran until now under PHP with FastCGI. I could switch in the Plesk panel. Is a small interior greenhouse connected to the #gnusocial social network !fediverse . Iam using sensors, arduino, raspberry pi, gitn ("gnusocial in the night" client for the shell), gnuplot, ...
In my smartphone i can check every day the notifications thanks to andstatus (gnusocial client for android). Is perfect to collective gardens, urban gardens or house plants. #thegnusocialofthings
@maiyannah As now you know, why you posted from a wrong account, we could devise some logic to prevent this in the future. E.g. I see that AndStatus could scan already loaded part of a conversation and find out that you already took part in this conversation using your another account (and via another GNU Social instance!). And it could show you some large warning on this. ?! https://loadaverage.org/attachment/3085505
@alejandroindependiente As we found out recently, muting a User in a Web interface doesn't mean that the User is muted for other client applications, e.g. for AndStatus. Unfortunately. #poordesign This means that AndStatus has to reimplement the same feature again.
@maiyannah AndStatus does have this feature: it allows you to post/reply as any ”You” (i.e. your account in AndStatus). BUT again, by design of GNU Social, you can technically reply only to a copy of a message ("notice") that is located on the same GNU Social instance as an account that you want to use for reposting/replying/favoriting. This means that in AndStatus in order to be able to reply to a message as somebody @ some host dot org, you need to: 1. Add a ”Social network” with "some host dot org" 2. Add your "somebody" account at this Social network to AndStatus. 3. Find needed message in that Social Network (e.g. by Syncing or via Global Search) 4. Tap the message and select Reply from a context menu.
As you can see on an attached screenshot, AndStatus not only correctly identifies your account for replying, but it also allows to choose between your accounts in this Social Network, if you have more than one (see the "Act as..." menu item). https://loadaverage.org/attachment/3072621
@maiyannah Example of usage: In order to hide notifications on favorited messages: Go to AndStatus Settings -> Filters -> "Hide messages based on keywords or exact phrases". And type in double quotes this: "favorited something by".
@maiyannah Notifications on deleted and favorited ”notices/posts” are being sent by GNU Social servers. The way they are sent via "Twitter compatible API" that AndStatus uses, doesn't allow to distinguish such notifications from ordinary posts. So yes, this is by design of GNU Social servers. AndStatus has ”Filters” feature that allows to hide such unwanted messages from a Timeline.
@mmn I would say that muting a User via Web interface SHOULD mute the User in any client application (for the same "Authenticated user")?! If it's not a case, is this a consequence of a Web UI (qvitter) being developed separately from GNU Social core? @alejandroindependiente @gaile @susobaco
@bulletbites AndStatus doesn't have its own Image Viewer. So it asks the Android system to provide one. It looks like on your device some time ago you set some dumb viewer as a default one. And now that viewer "doesn't know what to do with an image" :-) Find and clear that defaults, and then you will be able to select another image viewer... ?!
