    Daughter-in-law says #GS4 eagerly anticipated the event, but once he got there and saw how many people that he doesn't know were there, he turned shy. I expect they held the event on Friday because the 31st is on Tuesday ... school age kids still have to get to sleep on time so they can get up the next morning.

    Grandsons went to a church event in their astronaut costumes. There was candy and music. #GS5 was dancing, and I'm sure #GS4 was also. #GS3 is a little more reserved about song and dance. I'm already planning to put him in music and dance classes to help him get over that.

    I think a lot of orgs use #MSEdge as their preferred / required web browser just because inertia from years of relying on #MSIE. But one thing I don't do is leave #Bing as the default search.

    Don't give a single vendor too much control. Spread things out. (Even though most "independent" and "private" search sites merely proxy searches through Google or Bing.)

    And since Edge repeatedly steals control of the PDF filetype from Adobe, I switch that also.

    They do so many of the exact same things that "adware" and other malware did twenty years ago (changing homepage, changing search defaults, adding unwanted toolbars and buttons), yet we don't have the guts to stand up and call it that.

    I witnessed a collision between an SUV and a teenager on a bicycle in a store parking lot. The boy was not hurt, and neither he nor his parents felt the need for medical assistance.

    The bicyclist and his skateboard riding buddy darted between two westbound cars, but failed to check eastbound. Parents suspended his riding privileges for that and for not wearing a helmet. (Parents could have been cited under CA helmet law.)

    The local police station is right around the corner, but the sheriff's department had an officer driving in the area, so he handled it. I felt like the investigation was slipshod, though. I saw it, I called 9-1-1 to report it, but no officers spoke with me at all.

    Driver was shaking at the thought of what could have happened. It looked dramatic with him sprawled on the ground, but he said his bicycle and backpack got the impacts.
