the way we were taught about protestantism in catholic school was basically: there was christianity and the catholic church in the beginning and then in the middle ages a bunch of PRICKS just decided to invent their own bullshit version of christianity based on whatever they wanted because Henry VIII wanted to fuck some more whores and it caused all kinds of nonsense, the end.

@ghostdancer democracy is immoral and evil fam. you wouldn't design an aeroplane by asking the passengers what the best way to do it is, so why would you design a government in the same way? citizens don't know anything about how a government should be structured and run, it should be delegated entirely to experts with a proven track record of success.
if we never had democracy in the UK we never would have elected the here today gone tomorrow neoliberal opportunists of new labour who invaded Iraq in the first place because we would've been ruled by people who had skin in the game and would be able to see that such an incursion would benefit nobody. democracy selects for slimy liars like Blair who are willing to slaughter millions in order to get what he thinks is a career boost
