@cwebber @lnxw48a1 I'm not too thirsty, mostly I scream because it's fun. I've only been posting sporadically recently, so I think people may have thought I was a bit more peeved than I am. Thanks for the apology. Now I'm forced to put the brakes on and be real. We do need a federation history, the problem is the work that's involved getting it from people. It's just as fractured as the federation in general. Every person I interviewed had a different point of view of how it started, where it went, where it is now. No one has been actively trying to collect them. I'm not a developer, I get things wrong. @moonman @maiyannah @lain @clacke have to correct me all the time and I'm open to it. I'm a marketer with a journalism hobby. I love the fediverse and am open to revisions any time. I was actively working on building a history that everyone could contribute to until I burned out from negativity. Just to shed some light on things. I don't think you should remove the call for history, I just thought both of our awkward social ineptitudes was funny and inadvertently offensive.
@strypey @mono I wouldn't be here if @hannes2peer hadn't directed me to where to go. He can't stand me, but we can still communicate with you over there, because he left that decision to you guys as users.
chans can't fucking succeed because users are retarded, demand stupid shit, and mods are pushovers cultural collectives keep failing like wikis because users can't separate themselves from politics and nothing gets finished accurately due to talk pages longer than articles aggregates are failures because they've become free ways to market products and the users are too stupid to realize this. it's meant for content sharing, but you're not allowed to share your own content - only OFFICIAL CONTENT. The points system makes it clique based
here, i've argued with commies anarchists fascists and everyone else for the past year and its kicked ass and i've actually had to learn shit and realize that i'm a fucking moron. if we update standards to where I can't do this anymore i'm done.
The real solution is building a solution with people who won't bend. The point of success though shows an individuals true resolve, so how can we know someone won't.
