@emsenn Haha! I realize I'm being probably very opaque as I've gone this far down the rabbit hole. I hope people don't mind me "thinking out loud" even though it's probably like "wtf is Chris talking about anymore".

Yes, soon this should transform into stuff other people can understand without thinking about all the mechanical stuff I'm musing over :)

Some of the bigger questions come around whether I want to make this a primitive. Eg, a question of whether we'd be serializing even foundational datastructures like promises. Do we also want to capture all the messages-queued-for-delivery?

It seems like we'd want to say "yes", though that seems possibly difficult. I need to think more carefully about it...

Still seems like the cleanest route I've seen.
