    Is it true? I don't know, but there are a couple of links to said claim at the place I linked.

    The new Mac OSX version ("Big Sur") is out and their servers are overloaded with update downloads. People are reporting that they cannot open programs and do their work.

    One of the most annoying things for me is that after the #iPad upgraded to #iOS 14.1, there’s a constantly-on, unblockable notification to set up #Apple_Pay. Sorry, #Apple. You got your X hundred dollars. You are not getting any more.

    Looking forward to retiring this tablet and closing my AppleID account.

    @lnxw48a1 This is restriction from #apple - if you wan't to receive messages when in background then you have to use #push notifications - fortunatelly #siskinim supports it (requires server support as well, https://tigase.im is one of the servers that supports it)

    Oh, the #Tigase !XMPP client’s #iOS version is now called #Siskin_IM. I will probably try it out soon. #Monal, my current client, appears to only operate when in the foreground. (Likewise for the #Mutter #IRC client, so that may be an #Apple restriction.)
