@Hawk1291 @Arcana Nobody in this thread is saying salary makes people productive. They're saying shitty pay makes people leave.

In the choice between good pay and excellent pay the money is less important and the team, management, growth opportunity and work/life balance could be more important.

Still, of you're in a decent place and another decent place offers more pay, there's no point in leaving money on the table. Money allows you to pay off loans, retire earlier, take more time off, etc.
