@Arcana as an employer I can say that raising pay has NEVER helped keep an employee and has ALWAYS resulted in worse performance. Contrary to what social media thinks, raising pay does not result in better work. As an employee I have seen the same result in co workers who have had their pay raised, almost always results in less gumption. Reviewing myself is bit harder but I would guess I had the same result.
