So, finally I opened pina.space for registrations. Beware that it's running nightly code and it's only a small VPS but I guess it's stable enough. We'll see... !postactiv
@bob As you wrote debian_install.sh of !postactiv I'm asking you directly: wouldn't it make sense to have the queuedaemons running as www-data? Something like: 'su -c "sh scripts/startdaemons.sh" -s /bin/sh www-data' in https://gnusocial.de/url/3892793
@Maiyannah If you do write !GNUsocial to #Pumpio code consider implementing it as a plugin. While both #OStatus and #Pump use #ActivityStreams, it's my understanding those implementations are not compatible. So, rather than rewriting much of the GNUsocial ActivityStreams code to shoehorn in the Pump ActivityStreams, it may be cleaner to implement it as a separate plugin. It'll make GNUsocial code changes easier to merge with !postActiv and might give vanilla GNUsocial instances a means to federate with Pumpio too
I am having an open call for !postActiv contributions. I am specifically looking for things people think GNU social or federated social networks in general should do that they don't already, or do differently. Basically, I want opinions of what people want changed, fixed, added, or done better, to give me ideas of where to focus my efforts in improving this software.
I am also looking for people who know PHP and can follow a coding standards document to help out, probably on a system of bounties for doing X bit in issues or something. I will have to flesh out the details of that part, though.
