@moonman !loadaverage is running on an HDD and 4G of RAM %). We don't have Qvitter though, this may be the key resource-eater for the GNU social installations out there.
Dear !loadaverage users, don't worry! We're not forgot about migration, it just takes more time due to real life problems on my and HA admin sides. Yet you can help to keep LA running by donating - my freelance employer didn't paid me yet and I already have new invoice from Hetzner for 39 euros. If you'll able to donate and keep LoadAverage running - please, do so! Donate link located on https://wiki.loadaverage.org in the bottom of main page. It isn't rendering on my side, so just clicking on "Donate" will redirect you to donation page. Thanks!
P.S. If I won't be able to pay for server - don't worry also, I have another machine, but in Russia. And it is much slower than current. And getting LA running back will take atleast two days :(
So I think the road ahead for the !loadaverage instance is steady enough, thanks to @maiyannah - more info to come later in the week, but progress being made. if anyone wants to help cover the minimal costs, I've set up a Patreon page at https://www.patreon.com/loadaverage - or just get in touch for one-off or #bitcoin payments...
Hi everyone, I'm trying to secure the future of the !loadaverage instance - please yell if you're willing to contribute some cash, no matter how much... !fediverse
Guys, and anyone who followed this thread and who's messaged didn't made to my instance - come join loadaverage@conference.loadaverage.org XMPP MUC for discussing future of !loadaverage :)
Well, guys, shit happening again and I have no money now to pay for my server, so it’s a start for second #callForDonations. If you want to support LoadAverage - please, go to https://wiki.loadaverage.org/start and find «Donate» button (which is located at the end of page) to proceed . I’m still very impressed about support not only from !loadaverage users, but from everyone on the net, and very grateful to all of you :)
Dear !loadaverage users, I was too busy for last couple of months, but now I'm here and announcing GNU social update that will be performed somewhere around 1000UTC tomorrow, 14th September. Instance will be unavailable for some time.
Dear !loadaverage users, XMPP moving will start in 2100UTC. Since that time XMPP interface to LoadAverage will be unavailable for unpredictable amount of time, but not more that 6 hours.
Dear !loadaverage users, within next few hours I'll mess with DNS servers, so instance may become unavailable to you. If it happens - please, clear DNS cache in your OS, and verify, that dns.hetzner.pztrn.name is pointing to https://sn.pztrn.name/url/14640 There will be a separate announcement when I'll finish works on DNS servers.
Dear !loadaverage users, thanks to !fediverse support, server is secured for at least 6 months! But there is a snag - I've changed my payment method after invoice for current month was issued. I hope that hoster will help me to get this sorted ASAP, but in case he would'n/failed/everything else - there might be a little blackout (for 2-3 days). Don't worry, if hoster will not help me - I'll restore instance from backups somewhere else.
Dear !loadaverage users, shit happens - I was fired due to optimization procedures, and ex-director won't pay me rest of my salary. In order to keep service up and running I need 40.34 euros per month, proof is attached. Please, donate couple of euros or dollars, this will keep service running! Donate link is on index page of wiki (https://wiki.loadaverage.org). Right now I have $32 on paypal account, so I need at least $68 to keep my server. I will not bother anyone again with this message. Thanks! https://sn.pztrn.name/attachment/13892
Dear !loadaverage users, I've changed #ssl certificate for #gnusocial and #wiki. It may take up to 24 hours for this certificate to appear on #OCSP server.
