there are 5 of us that are part-owners, and a 6th that is helping me with some of the legal stuff. I don't know if Mike has an idea now of who will be released under vinyl, CD, and tape. I am not sure of timing either, but hopefully no T-birds and the Breaks-style break-ups due to the fight over a label and !ccmusic. Now you can have both! (of course, this was actually true before blocSonic, but somehow people don't know this)
First gig with our own tunes. Damn, this band actually sounds pretty good if I may say so myself :) I think the venue was actually the limiting factor in this case.
Recording some gospel covers with a (very) different band tomorrow, but I think we'll try to get the tunes from tonight recorded at some point too... Stay tuned, and keep an eye out for Container City ;) !musicians !ccmusic
I know http://Ampslam.com has all sorts of proprietary javascript bits (eventually I'm going to work on the site), but for those of you willing to look past that for now, what do you think of our upcoming contest. "Maybe 80 bucks first place, 50 for second and 25 for third" is what we are working with now, but we could dump that all into first place, or do something else.
about to upload a vocal track to http://ccmixter.org/people/dawmusicmanumit -- it's been right at 15 years since I performed. I had a pretty tramatizing moment as a 9th (maybe 10th) grader performing at the university level on keyboard. I briefly performed vocally, but nothing ever stuck. I've put my hands on a keyboard and on a guitar a few times since then. Actually, a few times I've tried to record things and ran into technical difficulties of one sort or another. I mess up the lyrics on the piece I am about to upload a bit, but at least it is something.
Also, I have released a few pieces of electronic music in that period.
Are there any horror punk !ccmusic bands on pandora? If not, CC, anything other than The Misfits will do. I like The Misfits, but the station is a bit too hardcore for present purposes. You know, Minor Threat and stuff like that.
Please tell me what you would change in the ogg audio: https://archive.org/details/LawcastFirstDraft. I have no idea what I said in the mp3. I had forgotten I recorded anything. Obviously, the timing will be different with Thomas around, but I know he wanted me to take the bulk of this show.
"Serious music buyers often complain about the decline of modern music but most aren't actively looking for new, young artists who do create music that would appeal to them." -- as true in the !ccmusic world as anywhere else.
