     @mmn According to top, PHP processes are using over 200% CPU and a strace on those processes reveals that it’s doing something StatusNet related.

     @thelovebug Could you make sure you don't have a huge pile of entries in the queue_item table again? (I seldom have more than 100 even on quite active instances)

     @thelovebug Wanna try disabling some plugins to debug? Try commenting out the lines for addPlugin in your config.php, clean out the queue_item table (or wait for them to finish processing) and see if it works better. Then enable one at a time.

     @mmn Done that… the only one I didn’t re-enable was Meteor, which I’m not using anyway. queue_item immediately settled down to 22 rows, and the average load dropped to less than 0.25. Sorted, thanks!
