     @Sandra The scenario presumes that instances are outside the Golden Shield and the only workaround required is for someone with a browser inside the Shield to access the hidden service.
     
     Someone with an instance inside the Shield wanting to use the onion address to talk to another instance would have to bother with a reverse proxy and some DNS spoofing or just putting stuff in /etc/hostnames .

     Unless the instance itself has onion competence you'll need a reverse proxy to pretend to be otherinstance.example.com and funnel requests to dhdjrj47373otherinstance26fh.onion.
