I'd like to restart the USB subsystem on my BananaPi/Raspbbian. How to do that? The USB support is compiled into the kernel (not module)!

  @b9ace My problem: in the current state of the machine USB2.0 usb-HDDs will only be attached as 12Mbit devices. Reboot would fix that→

  @tekk indeed it seems I can't. The !BananaPi's usb interface is also not a pci device,so I can't reset the interface from pci either. @b9ace

  "live booting of a new kernel over the currently running one" is beyond my capabilities, but: would this keep my userland processes running?
