@rw The death of meritocracy in FOSS and other software circles probably. There's quite a bit of lore to dig around and it might not exactly be entirely your thing, but it's history I think should get something of a synopsis. Probably focusing on the rise of Contributor Covenant at the start but branching out into the other ways that true hacker culture has started to come apart at the seams.

@rw Alternatively another good way to give a history of everything would be to look at the decline of Firefox from when Brendan Eich got pushed out out to the present day.

@rw something about how food-based cultural exchange influences and reflects the values of different societies. Has Mexican food gotten more or less popular since Trump? I'd definitely like to see a well researched article along those lines.

@gitgud @rw Is it dead? The same people are still in the same places doing the same things for the most part. Those who seek injury, however, usually find it in ample supply.
