@mike Usually when I say something to my wife in English she just rolls her eyes. But if I ask her a question in German she responds in English, but with the actual response. So I'll take the progress.

I've been trying to learn it for years and am finally taking it relatively seriously. I use both Busuu and Rosetta Stone. Rosetta does the immersion technique where they don't explain anything to you they just slowly introduce you to the language through word/picture association and Busuu breaks things down and gives the why behind everything. I find them somewhat complimentary, even though I started with Busuu before Rosetta.
