if you were wondering what happens when oulipo.social (doesn't allow the letter E) meets dolphin.town (only allows the letter E): https://dolphin.town/users/e/updates/2643
@Zero_Democracy thanks! yeah I was reading up on toxic glazes, but this bowl is totally white on the inside, and there doesn't seem to be any issue with white/clear glazes. so :shrug_g1: guess it's time for some soup!
I bought the best ceramic soup bowl from the Chinese supermarket the other day. cute design, nice size, has a handle and plastic lid. but it has a sticker on it that says "Warning: Cancer and Reproductive Harm. www.P65Warnings.ca.gov"
the website is a clearinghouse of info about potentially toxic substances, but I can't find anything about carcinogenic dishware. can anyone tell me more? how likely is it that the ceramic is fine and the lid just isn't heat-safe?
@cwebber This is good to know: "Consumers can also encourage businesses to use less plastic in their packaging by writing to stores where they shop, Enck says, adding that putting pressure at the local level is the most effective way to bring change."
