I bought a Thinkpad X1 Carbon - used one.
I think battery life on that one is 6-8 hours, and it is lightweight aswell.

I got it for 2000 SEK (about 210 USD)

aha, då har vi något gemensamt!

I find x86 boring, not because it is bad - I am not that smart to deepdive into instructions - but I have always been attracted to exotic things.
