Exactly 10 years ago today, @Moosical and I touched down π¬ at Heathrow Airport after a lovely few days in Malaysia π²πΎ.
Today, I'm at Manchester Airport π waiting for a flight π« to Vienna π¦πΉ for business. This is the first flight I've been on since 2014, and the first flight I've ever taken on my own.
The fact that I'm airside π is a good start π
@pachli Hey! Thanks for following up on this. π
I can't really give you much that's going to be helpful, I'm afraid. I was typing my reply, it froze for a second and then "it" disappeared. When I say "it" I don't mean the whole app, it's like the Activity that allows you to author a post just restarted itself.
Happy to answer questions, but I don't think there's much more than that to tell.
@frenchguych We still don't know. The counter reached 00:00:00 at 1815UTC and then did a visual glitch and started counting up again. It's still counting - 21:07:30 π€·βοΈ
It did further visual glitches at 00:09:05 and 01:35:00 (95 minutes) so the current rumour is that something is going to happen on Sep 5.
The 100h timer started on August 24, reached zero on Aug 28. It's believed that if it goes back up to 100h and then counts down again, by the time it reaches zero it'll be Sep 5 anyway!
As the family and I were heading out for the day (to celebrate @Moosical's birthday), we happened to drive past the Holiday Inn Express at Manvers.
Yes... that one.
We were both shocked and saddened by the number of windows and doors that were boarded up as a direct result of the mindless rioting and violence from a few weeks back. It's the first time we've been past there since it happened.
At 18:15UTC tomorrow, Wednesday 28 August, Linkin Park is going to be announcing something.
I'm not aware that they've been producing new material, in fact I'm sure I heard the band say they weren't going to. Perhaps it'll be another remix album - Reanimation II? I'd be quite excited about that as Reanimation was the first album of theirs that I owned.
Can't wait to see what they reveal tomorrow. (As long as it isn't that they're going on tour with Oasis)
Bottom line, Husky was becoming a chore to browse my timeline. Pachli removes the chore.
I'm not going to go into more detail here, but I do discuss this as part of my Pachli review on episode 114 of @tuxjam, which should be out in a matter of days π
Really enjoying @pachli as my Fediverse client. It's really making me use the platform.
From a UX perspective, I have just one gripe. If you're at the top of your timeline and you swipe down to refresh, you have no indication that there are new posts. Natural action is to swipe down to see if there are any new posts, which can then result in another refresh.
Rinse and repeat.
Either a lozenge at the top saying "New posts" or bringing the timeline down by a couple of pixels would be perfect.
