At Penguicon 2019 this weekend I was on a panel to talk about Mastodon/Pleroma/etc and there are a lot of non-tech people interested, especially those who do political organizing.
One of the main takeaways is that there also needs to be a way to manage groups of people and schedule events. That's one thing holding people on Facebook. I already knew this, but I didn't think it was quite so common... -

The same fair wage someone not imprisoned should get. Making them work for pennies is not part of their sentencing and is not a good way to rehabilitate people or help prevent recidivism. Just because they're imprisoned doesn't mean they lose all of their rights. -

Sounds to me like third party Twitter clients should re-tool for the Fediverse and re-launch their apps after writing an open letter telling the world that Twitter is dead -

If you use HTML email you were asking for it. Always disable it in every client, full stop. -

@mulander The FreeBSD port/package is also building with system libraries. I will ask him if he wants me to delete our package too. 🤔
