So Fabio created a CLI tool over on red#matrix to let you connect to any server you are authorized to and create, download, upload files & folders. Think of a decentralized owncloud.

mustard, ttytter, etc have so far been immune from showing the promoted tweets. I hope that remains the case.

Also, the dev of TTRSS is going from releases, to git clone/pull for updates. I’ll be making the switch soon (w/backups prior to trying).

As an aside, Fox’s (the dev) posts in his developer forum are amongst the most entertaining on the internet, because he frequently vents the frustrations that most devs must have but supress.

I will be moving my GS site from my Pro Bono Publica server, to my private server. Hopefully, it will be an unremarkable event.

@lnxw48 @jrm if sites were smart they would realize the RSS followers were the most ardent, since they want to know of every post, not what they happen to see slip by in the Twitter stream.

@jrm “(Is RSS going the way of the horse and buggy?)” I think some sites believe they can replace feeds with tweets. But if you’re not watching your !Twitter stream at exactly the right moment, you’ll miss the tweets. In my opinion, encouraging people to subscribe to a feed is one of the best ways to ensure that they see and know about postings and updates.

actually sendmail is just a ln -s to my Citadel email server, it worked nicely until now for root to send emails, cron, etc.
