I recently was reminded of it and suddenly it seems more sensible and useful than it ever did before. Likely an artifact of my wacky sleep schedule.

It's something I discovered during (waves at pandemic) all of this, and I've really come to like it as a process.

I have two examples of such collaborations, one being these glass eyes, and the other is doing the paint work on a partner's sculpting.

In both cases, the desire to not "screw up" the other person's good work brought out the best in me.

More importantly, in all cases things I never would have done myself got created in the process.

Got these glued into the mask and nearly jumped out of my skin when I looked into them. Good stuff.

Still more work to do, but feels good to make little steps on projects.

A while back, a friend of mine hand painted a bunch of sets of glass eyes for me to work into masks.

Tonight, I pulled out a set I put aside for a face-in-progress, and was reminded how cool it is to be able to collaborate with friends when they aren't near.

One pair left in the little box they sent. I need to ponder what to do with them too...
